Skelton Parish Council Precept 2024-25

The Precept is that element of your Council Tax which is paid to Skelton Parish Council.

Every year, the Parish Council draws up a budget and calculates how much money it needs for the next Financial Year. This is usually finalised at the January Full Council meeting and a precept demand submitted to the City of York Council (CoYC). CoYC co-ordinates the other demands from the North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, North Yorkshire Police and themselves and calculates the Council Tax rate to be paid from 1st April of that year. For 2024-25 the Precept was set at £27.395. This translates to £40.54 and has increased by £1.35 for the year for a band D property.
